Chelsea’s long straight locks look great pinned back into this quiff at the Tribeca Film Festival Premiere of “Journey to the End of the Night”. The rest of the hair in this fantastic style has been nicely smoothed down with a straightening iron.

1: Apply Moisturizer
Apply a small amount of moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.
2: Apply Mousse
Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.
3: Comb Your Hair
Comb your hair into the desired direction that you require for styling.
4: Section Your Hair
It is always a good idea to work in sections. This will help to make your hair styling quicker, easier to follow and more orderly. Comb your hair out and place your hair up into four equal sections, two in front and two in back, starting from ear to ear.
5: Use A Large Radial Brush
A large radial brush is usually used on long straight hair types or to smooth out wavy or curly hair textures. When selecting a radial brush, always use one with a pure bristle as this will not tear or damage the hair.
6: Blow-dry Straight Back
Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the nape/back. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends.
7: Blow-dry Straight On The Sides
Using your brush, blow-dry in small sections starting from the sides. Tilting your head forward, place the brush an inch below the roots to hold them taut and aim the dryer above the brush for a few seconds before continuing to the ends. Repeat this step on a new section directly above the dry one.
8: Blow-dry The Top Section Back
To blow-dry the top section back you will need to take your brush and firstly make sure that the section is no wider than the diameter of the brush. Next, place your brush on top of your head and under your section. Using your blow-dryer on a medium setting, blow-dry your hair from the roots, slowly lifting your hair up and working your way to the ends. Make sure to keep the blow-dryer in front of the brush at all times. Continue this step until the top section is completely dry.
9: Use A Straightening Iron
When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. 10: Pin Your Hair
Once your hairstyle is complete, hold your hair into place and then pin your hair into your desired direction.
11: Apply Smoothing Shine
Apply a very small amount of smoothing shine to the palms of your hands and then run it through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Be careful not to add any to the roots or a large amount to any section of the hair as smoothing shine can be very heavy on the hair, weighing it down and making it appear oily.
TIP: Tease your bangs back and then smooth the hair down with your pin for extra definition.
